I just wanted everyone to know that I have found a wonderful man right here in Jefferson. His name is Gary and we will be getting married on 15 June 2008, right here in my(our) backyard. I can't be happier, he is perfect for me, we match on so many levels it is scary.
Some of you may remember seeing me with him at the DM Ren Fest last year, he was the guy carrying a leather jacket. Yes, if you have been to my myspace page or my renspace page you have probably seen the picture of us kissing. One of his best qualities is that he doesn't mind all of the glitterpes (that is glitter everywhere) Faerie Queen = lots of glitter.
He is a pyrotechnition and is going to help me with a couple of things at the faire. He has a great sense of humor and can dish it out as well as take it, so no kid gloves necessary.
Well, I wasn't really looking for love again so soon, and neither was he, but I have found it none the less. He is truly a wonder, he is 45 to my 46, but I still look younger ;) He is shorter than I, but he doesn't mind, even when I wear heels. He has a wonderful sense of humor and is great with kids. He understands, and insists that I be Mom first and Lover second, and I haven't met many men who were that way.
The best part is he understands my passion for the faires, and accepts it. He doesn't even mind the glitterpes ;)
Rejoice with me my friends in my new found happiness. I know my dearly departed king is very happy, I have found some one to love and comfort me in his absence. There is not a day that goes by that I do not miss my king, friend, lover & husband, but I know he wants me to continue and to be happy again. I can feel his approval of my choice.

Well Friends and Loved Ones,
We have closed the Des Moines Renaissance Festival for another year. For those of you who I haven't personally told, "Thank You" for your continued love and support. The last weekend of the faire was the hardest by far for me. We had lots of patrons asking after the King, and each time it was hard to explain his passing, but I always added that "King Oberon's Realm" is here for us all to share and to help us remember him. I asked Rick Flatt and Greg Schmidt to allow me to wait until next year opening weekend to dedicate the Realm. I had many reasons for this, one is the 15' canopied oak I want to move next spring, as Meri said "A Mighty Oak for a Mighty Man". Another is landscaping, and yet another some family problems we are working through. This year has been hard on us and we do really appreciate all the love and support of our Ren Family. You have made this more easy to bear, and continue on the way Brad would have wanted.
Yes, the rumors are true, I have started dating, but I have not forgotten nor stopped loving my King, he is gone from this realm and I won't see him til the next, but he wouldn't want me to be alone in this one either.
I would like to invite each and everyone out to the Des Moines Renaissance Festival next year to help us honor our good and loving king. I'd like to add a time in the program the first weekend to allow a truly spectacular memorial, not just for our ren family but for all the patrons who so enjoyed him too. I hope with a year to plan I can make it a truly wonderful dedication ceremony. I'd like to invite all of our musical friends to let me know if you would like to perform during this ceremony. I have not ok'd this with Rick or Greg yet, but I think if I take it on as a project and just ask for sometime and an announcement it probably won't be a problem
Again, Thanks for helping move through this difficult time.
Love, Hugs, Kisses, Flowers and Butterflies, Queen Titania

Well, weekend one of the Des Moines Renaissance Faire is over and it was spectacular if a bit warm. Still I'll take the heat over the humidity (read - torential rains) of last year.
Maybe our Good King Oberon, was being a little too protective, A bit cooler next weekend, my love.
As stated earlier, the faerie queen is a bit off these days, if you attended you know that after the Predators of the Sea, yet again interrupt her faeries at play by the river, the queen decides to take matters into her own hands!
She first hears of the disturbance during the 1230 parade, and is quite put out by it. Soon after the parade she disappears and is not seen again until 1:30. When she reappears atop the Amos's Fabulous Foods ship and calls for her faeries to gather and attend her. She calls her faeries to war, and they decide to attack the pirates...
If you want to know the rest come join us at the faire, the Faerie Queen is sporting a new look when she reappears and I must say that the reviews of the new costume were all good that I heard.
If you didn't make it out the first weekend then you have to make it to one or both of the next two. You never know what revelry you will find in the Realm.
Also, if for no other reason, come see the 2 story "Tree" house dedicated to the memory of our beloved King Oberon and aptly named "King Oberon's Realm". It was decorated, somewhat this weekend, and the decorations will be even more spectacular next weekend I promise!
Thanks to all our friends who offered their love and support on what could have been a very difficult weekend.
I have it on good authority, that the Faeries in Des Moines are up to no good! Beware all ye mortals who enter the Faerie Glen, especially the first weekend. The Faerie Queen has run amok.
